A sea wall that supports Mission on the Bay, a Swampscott restaurant located at 141 Humphrey Street, experienced a partial collapse in the afternoon of Thursday, May 4, according to the Lynn Fire Department which provided mutual aid.

A Lynn fire engine was dispatched around 1:40 p.m., according to Joseph Zukas, district fire chief for Lynn Fire.

Zukas said he has dined at the fairly new restaurant, saying it had "beautiful views."

The Swampscott Fire Department and town officials remain on the scene.

A building expert for the town will determine if the building is condemned, Zukas said.
